CWT has adopted an API-enabled, multi-sourced content hub approach that first uses the GDS for content—includig NDC content—supplemented by approved aggregators and some direct connects. We are committed to working with any and all partners that help us achieve the goal of providing the broadest choice of relevant air travel content, independent of sources that meet our scalability and cost objectives.
NDC content
To date, 1300+ CWT customers are live with NDC across 14 airlines in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, within 20 markets (including the US) with access on Sabre and Amadeus. Additionally:
- Multiple channels: phone, email, messaging, and 34 OBTs including Cytric, Concur Travel, GetThere, and KDS Neo; Zeno is in pilot.
- 130,000 NDC bookings in 2024, a close to 600% growth over 2023.
- Adoption will vary based on the attractiveness of NDC offer over Edifact and client policy, as the purpose is not to book NDC at all costs but to book NDC where it is less costly and in policy. Examples of CWT adoption : Over 50% of our Finnair bookings in Finland are NDC; 20% of our bookings with Iberia in Spain; and close to 30% of our SAS bookings in Sweden and Denmark are NDC.
CWT agents are trained to book and perform after-sales of NDC bookings.
Hotel content
RoomIt hotel platform is a differentiator for CWT. You will no longer need to sign agreements with third parties to fill previously uncovered territory, as RoomIt provides:
- Enhanced content. Our multi-supplier approach grants access to content from multiple sources, GDS and non GDS (e.g., Booking. com, Expedia etc.)—bringing more availability, property types, and rate types. Strengthening and increasing corporate-relevant content sources in online, mobile, and offline booking channels eliminate the need for travelers to shop elsewhere.
- Omni-channel booking experience. We offer a consistent hotel booking experience across all channels including OBTs, myCWT, or offline. This helps improve hotel attachment rates, drive higher channel and policy compliance, and allows you to further leverage your hotel spend.
Rate Security Engine
The Rate Security Engine removes all non- compliant properties and room rates from search results in real time and is a key driver of suppliers’ compliance to the distribution of your preferred program.
Intelligent Display. This proprietary capability uses tailored algorithms and machine-learning powered results to display more relevant and optimal property results, helping you meet both your program goals and your traveler preferences.
Rate optimization. Enhanced capability for rate re-shopping and re-booking monitors and automatically rebooks “identical stays” when a lower rate is available. Robust reporting further drives program performance and value.
Data capture hub. Enhanced new reporting provides insights into actual spend behavior from both travelers’ and supplier partners’ perspective.
Rate availability and competitiveness. Search data provides continuous visibility into how available your preferred rate is at the point of sale. Combining the availability data with data on the competitiveness of your negotiated rate can then be used to target program optimization.
Missed and realized savings. This report combines search and booking data to deliver information on savings that were missed and/or realized due to traveler buying behavior at the time of booking, and arms you to optimize settings of your online booking tool.
